There are immature oocytes and mature oocytes obtained at retrieval. Immature oocytes will have the ability to be fertilized after they become mature. Nnormal IVF involves the collecting and fertilization of mature oocytes and transfer of the divided embryo. WithIVM-IVF, we collect immature oocytes of first and then cultivate (mature them) outside the body for 26 hours, then fertilize them and, transfer divided embryo.

■Never cause OHSS (ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome)!
It is possible to collect many oocytes at one time, using retrieval by ovary stimulation using fertility drug at normal IVF. But the side effect of ovarian stimulation might make your ovary swell, and fluid may build up inside your abdomen. IVM does bot cause OHSS because there need be no ovarian stimulation.
